About PORT ORCHARD, WASH. – Mark Allen Mascioli, 49, passed away peacefully in his sleep due to the complications of diabetes on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017.

Mark was born in Mansfield on Jan. 9, 1968, the son of Charles “Chuck” and Barbara “Barb” Mascioli.

Mark was raised in Poland and graduated from Poland Seminary High School in 1986. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in the summer of 1986. After basic training, he went to the Naval Submarine Base in Groton, Conn. His career then took him to Bangor, Wash. This is where Mark was assigned to the USS Georgia. He stayed with this for seven years.

Upon Mark’s discharge, he had been employed with the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for the past 29 1/2 years.

Mark loved to cook, fish, cheer on the Packers, watch NASCAR, work on cars and spend time with family and friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Chuck Mascioli; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Marjorie Enderle; his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Theresa Mascioli; and the love of his life, his wife, Elizabeth JoNell Mascioli.

He is survived by his mother, Barb Mascioli of Poland; his daughter, Jordan Mascioli of Bremerton, Wash.; his son, Joseph Mascioli at home; a sister, Julie (Jeff) Maderitz of Poland; and a brother, Mike (Rochelle); and niece Chelsea Mascioli of Pipersville, Pa.

Mark was sharing his home at the time with his son-in-law, Rob (Christian) Moore, and their son, Tarver.

“We will miss Mark. He will be greatly loved by all who knew him. He wore many titles to many people.”

Arrangements were entrusted to Rill’s Life Tribute Center Funeral Home in Port Orchard.

Interment took place at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Wash. The Veterans Service Honor Guard Association conducted military rites at the cemetery.
