Passed away 9-11-96 motorcycle accident off base in Ft Hood Texas. He was an E-5 Sergeant.

I served four years in the USMC...Two tours of duty in Viet Nam. Radio operator in Chu Lai in 1966 and 1967 and radio chief in Da Nang in 1968. Being a marine, and a marine sergeant were two of my proudest accomplishments.

I served in the US Army Medical Corp,Supply area, and Drafting from 1964-1967, and 1977 to 1998. Retired Medical SSG. Also during my military I served as a volunteer coach throughout the world when I wasn't on duty.

Drafted 1967. Ft Dix, Ft Jackson, Ft Benning. Vietnam 1968-1969. Infantry. Walked point 10 months and Long Range Reconn near Cambodia. For an infantryman, spent a lot of time in helicopters for drops and pick ups.

Army Security Agency (ASA)/Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). Served in Turkey, Germany and various locations in the United States. Retired in 1993 as a Chief Warrant Officer.

After completing O.C.S. at Quantico, VA, completed U.S. Naval Flight School in Pensacola. Served as a Tactical & Nuclear weapons delivery pilot with Marine Attack Squadron - 331 where I flew the A-4 Skyhawk. While training a newly winged pilot, I was forced to make a high-speed, low-altitude ejection from 50 feet at 400 kts. After spending the last year of my service in a hospital, I was discharged at the rank of Captain. Like many of my Plant High Brothers, the time I spent in the Marine Corps was the proudest time of my life.

Entered in 1974, was trained as an Army Photographer, stationed: Ft. McClellan, Al, Ft. Monmouth, N.J, Ft. Riley, Ks, Ft. Gordon, Ga, Landstuhl, Germany, Ft. Huachuca, Az. Have served as a Garrison Army Photographer, Medical Photographer, and have been a Civilian Army Photographer (currently still working with the U.S. Army as a Senior photographer). Traveled much in Europe.

Infantry Platoon Leader in Vietnam from October,1969 until June, 1970; then worked with the Vietnamese until I left in October, 1970. Finished up at Fort Lewis as a Range Officer.
