| About Me | Just after graduation I began work as a fireman with the U.S. Forest Service for 4+ fire seasons. Hired by the Oakland Fire Department and married Sherri Gartner in 1974. Sherri and I have a son 32, a daughter 31, and a grandaughter (14 months). I was injured at a fire in East Oakland and permanently disabled. I retired as a Captain in 1990.
