About	Alexander W. Langston, research scientist, San Diego, on June 16, 2007. Born in Brooklyn and educated in Piedmont schools, Langston earned a Ph.D. in cellular and developmental biology from Harvard. He was a research scientist at NYU, UC San Diego and UC San Francisco. Langston is survived by his parents, William ’55 and Adair; brother, Christopher; sister, Anne; three nephews; and a niece.
