Class of 1963
Navy, 4 Years
Served as a U.S. Navy photographer from 1965 to 1969. Stationed at three Naval Air Stations in Florida: Cecil Field, Pensacola and Sanford. Sailed across Pacific Ocean on aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CVA-63) to waters off North Vietnam. Last two years at NAS Quonset Point in Rhode Island attached to Antarctic Development Squadron 6 (VXE-6), spending half the year in R.I. and the other half in Antarctica supporting the U.S. Antarctic Research Program (USARP).

Improved Hawk CW Radar Repairman. Basic training at Fort Jackson, AIT at Redstone Arsenal, then Camp Howard Korea and Ft Bliss TX as permanent duty stations. After discharge drove through my brothers birthplace at Roswell NM then up west coast to my birth town of Moses Lake WA then into Canada where I watched Curling before it was an Olympic sport and eventually back into the states into ND then back to NJ.
