I have been in the National Guard for 5 years and now am in the active service. I was in Desert Shield/Storm in 1990-1991 as a battalion chaplain. I've also been in Operation Iraqi Freedom I with the 82nd Airborne Division, I spent another year in 2005-2006 with Engineers from Germany in Mosul Iraq. I am now a Family Life Chaplain assigned to the 25th Infantry Division from Hawaii stationed now at COB Speicher (close to Baghdad) Iraq. I've also been in Korea for a year, Germany for 3 years, and Honduras for 6 months.

At a very young age volunteered to service in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era and transitioned to the Navy serving my operational career as a Master EOD Technician. As the result of selection for the Navy's Command Master Chief Program served multiple fleet and force staff tours of duty as a Senior Enlisted Advisor and retired as United State Naval Academy Brigade Master Chief. Though serving my country required numerous lengthy deployments and separation from my family under arduous conditions the operational experience and comradery felt amongst fellow brothers and sisters in arms were times of exceptional pride and joy providing protection and safety on both a domestic and international scale.

Our Perry High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done!
