Holla "Holly" Ellen Anderson (Shaw), age 64, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away on September 7, 2022, from natural causes at her home. She was a proud daughter of Christ who has gone home to be with her heavenly Father. Holly was born July 9, 1958 in Eagle District, West Virginia to Edward Bernard Shaw and Betty Juanita Shaw (Baker). She graduated from Perry High School in Massillon, Ohio in 1976. For 17 years she worked for BranHaven Swim and Tennis Club before transitioning to a nurse's assistant until 2022. Holly was an avid family historian, no matter where she went, she left knowing everyone's family history. Because of this, she was loved by so many.
Holly is survived by her beloved children: John Edward (Theresa) Anderson of Akron, Ohio and Sarah Marie Anderson of Whitsett, North Carolina; her beloved former husband of 33 years John Charles Anderson of Akron, Ohio; her treasured grandchild John Joseph Anderson; siblings: Tusky (Pat) Shaw, Chancy (Mary) Shaw, Hilda (the late Jerry) Eddy, Manly Shaw all of West Virginia, Sandra (the late Randy) Deeser, and Shirley Hoops, all of Ohio, Nova (Tom) Stevens and Karen Frescura, all of Michigan; and countless nieces and nephews. Holly was preceded in death by siblings: Christy, Nathan, James, Bernard, Edward, and Jesse Shaw, and Betty J. Fetty. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Holly's honor to the American Cancer Association.
The family will receive guests for calling hours on Thursday, September 15 from 10AM to 12PM at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, 705 Raff Rd. SW. Funeral service will begin at 12PM with Pastor Amy Downard officiating. Procession to Sunset Hills Memory Gardens will follow for the graveside service.
