Served as Security Police walking aircraft finished up as Weapons Storage Area and Alert Aircraft Entry Controller along with WSA alarms monitor. Switched AFSC in 1982 into Aerospace Equipment Mechanic where I finished my service 1992. Went overseas to UK and stayed stateside the rest of my time. Best time had besides the UK was at Nellis AFB where I’d fly into my assignment every week. The desert scenes were breath taking.

Merle "Rick" Wilson attended Penfield High School until 1980 when he joined the US Navy. He served 20 years in both the surface fleet and submarine force and is a decorated Cold War veteran. He married his high school sweetheart, Stephani Richards, who graduated from Penfield High School in 1981. They celebrate their 34th wedding anniversary in 2018.
