Air Force, 20+ Years
Served in Viet Nam 69-70, Thailand 74-75 was a security police flight commander and training instructor. Participated in Operation Babylift, and the re-capture of the USS Mayaguez also the evacuation of Saigon and the rescue of Americans from the US embassy in Phenom Phen, Cambodia. Decorations include Bronse Star for valor, Purple Heart, Air Force Commendation Medal w/3 OLC, Humanitarian Service Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal w/3 Battle stars,Presidential Unit Citation w/ 2 OLC,Outstanding Unit Award for valor, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Cross for Galantry w/palm, AF Good Conduct Medal w/3 OLC and numerous letters of appreciation from dignitaries of every kind.

I joined the AF Reserves in 1969 and became an Aircraft Loadmaster on the C-141 aircraft (cargo jet). Flew in out of Southeast Asia from 1969 through 1972 including Viet Nam, Thailand and Japan. I was a Viet Nam vet in my 1st 6 months of active duty. Traveled the world flying in the Military Airlift Command including the Grenada invasion. I pent the last of my career in Command Post at McGuire AFB and was activated for 9 months during Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Retired in 2007 with 38 years of service.
