About George’s interests were many, but tended to cluster around a few themes: fly fishing, history, science fiction and - during the years he piloted first a Datsun 510 and later a Triumph TR6 - sports car racing and photography. His fly fishing excursions to Yellowstone and its environs were nearly an annual event in his early years after college. (Maybe only Teddy Roosevelt spoke more lovingly of that corner of Wyoming.) When not out west, he would fish the creeks and streams of Missouri and Arkansas. George’s fascination with and knowledge of American history - especially military- was truly scholarly. His meticulous descriptions of the technical attributes of war planes belied the fact that he likely would have preferred to ride them as Slim Pickens did. As for science fiction, he typically read a novel a week during his high school years and, undoubtedly, could have created from memory a book-length compilation of the greatest sci-fi quotes. George worked all his life at Majestic Iron Works with his father serving president of the company for several years. But most importantly, George was a most gracious, good friend to those who were lucky enough to know him.
Proceeding in him death was his father George J. Juenger his mother Dorothy J. Juenger and sisters Tracy Dewein and Lisa Juenger. He is survived by sisters Leslie Dickerson, Linda Nichols, Kimberly Juenger, Vanessa Juenger, brother Mark Juenger and his nieces Kathy Williamson, Melissa Johnston and Alexis (Joel) Harrison.
