While serving in the Navy, I was stationed at Mayport Naval Air Base in Fl. My boyfriend at the time was stationed on the USS Patterson, also at Mayport. One fine day he was on a crew painting the side on the ship and my class ring (which he was wearing around his neck) got put in his pants pocket and fell into the water under the ship. I'm not really thinking that someone has run a metal detector under a battleship, but posting, just because there is always hope.. thanks
