Served 30 years as a Contracting Officer -- Mar 28, 1970 to Mar 31, 2000. Retired in grade of Colonel. Tours included Italy, Pentagon, US Air Force Academy, HQ AF Space Command, and Commander of Defense Contract Management Command - Lockheed Martin Space Systems Division.

Lowry technical training center Denver Colorado, Bunker Hill AFB Indiana, Yokota AFB Tokyo Japan, Takhli Royal Thai AFB Thailand 66-67, MacDill AFB Tampa Florida, 17 years off then 3 years in Colorado Air Nat. Guard. For these years I was a weapons mech on the following Aircraft. B-58 Hustler, F-105, F-4 Phantom, and finally the A-7 Corsair II. I also had duties as a medic within the 140th CAMS at Buckley AFB.
My career took me to Texas, Colorado, Indiana, Japan, Thailand Okinawa, Florida, and back to Colorado, with a TDY to Volk field Wisconsin.
I wouldn;'t have missed it for anything...

Translation: We design and install all equipment used in Air Traffic Control Facilities, TRACONs, as well as Secure Combat Control Facilities.

Our Owen-withee High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done!
