Friends and classmates,
Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the 60th reunion of our Ottawa High School Class of 1959.
The activities will be Saturday Oct. 5 and Sunday Oct. 6, 2019, in Ottawa. The planners are arranging a buffet dinner the evening of Saturday, Oct. 5 at Smoked Creations, 222 E. Logan Street. Then on Sunday, Oct. 6, there will be a brunch at The Bottle House (in our days, this was the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant) at 204 S. Walnut.
Efforts are being made to keep the costs down in hopes that as many classmates as possible not only can attend but also can help decide the format of any future class get-togethers. We'll have more information about the cost and activities before long.
Here's what you're asked to do-- in addition to saving the dates:
1. Let me know you received this message!
2. Say whether you intend to attend, so we can get some estimated numbers for planning purposes.
3. When you respond, please update your contact info (address, email address, phone numbers.)
4. Think about photos and memorabilia you could share from your time at OHS. A slide show will be organized (more later!)
5. If there are reunion activities you'd like to suggest, please let us know.
6. If you know classmates who don't use email, please print this out and pass along to them-- and get me their contact info.

This is still in the planning stages but the dates and locations are set. Other 60's classes are invited to join us at the Pizza Village on Friday evening or Sat. night after the meal at Smoked Creations. There will also be a musical tribute to music of the 60's as well as a band made of past alumni for dancing later at the Elks. Sat. there will be a tour of the new high school and a tour of the museum and a movie at the Plaza. (That is now known to be the oldest continuing theater in the world.) , The dates for the 55th class reunion were set yesterday at the committee meeting. They will be Friday evening October 11th and Saturday evening October 12th. Friday evening will be at 7:00 just for a social hour at the Eagles on E 15h in Ottawa, Saturday evening will be Oct 12th with a social hour from 6-7 and a catered dinner at 7:00 also at the Eagles. We are still trying to make contact with David Rowe. As of now the charge for attending the reunion is 35.00 if there is any change I will post it closer to the time
