After a courageous battle with cancer, David, age 61, passed away peacefully at home in Maryland on April 13, 2009. David was born Feb. 13, 1948, in Madison. He was the son of the late Violet (Olson) Kading. David graduated from Oregon High School in 1967. A 23-year-veteran of the U.S. Army, David served in the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. David is survived by his wife, Angela Kading of Maryland; siblings, Diane Lynch, Larry, Keith (Linda), Mark (Julie), Mary (Steve) Riemenapp, Jim, and Steve; and many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his mother, Violet; and niece, Danielle Lynch. A celebration of his life will be held on May 18, 2009, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a service at 7:30 p.m. at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 625 E. Netherwood St., Oregon.
