I enlisted as a Human Resources Specialist in 2006 and joined the ROTC porgram at Iowa State University in 2008. I will be receiving my commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in May, 2010 in the Transportation Corps in the Army. In October 2010 I will be leaving for my first deployment to Afghanistan.

I enlisted at the end of 1984, went through ET A school and nuclear power school and served as a reactor operator onboard the USS Florida SSBN-728. After which I was an instructor at one of the nuclear prototypes where I was selected for a commissioning program. After completing my degree at Auburn Universty, I completed OCS at Pensacola and SWOS in Newport prior to reporting to USS J F Kennedy (CV-67). That was followed by a tour on the USS Doyle (FFG-39) and a tour at Navy apostgraduate School in Monterey. I completed my career as an Engineering Duty Officer at SUPSHIP Jax and SERMC in Mayport where I retired in 2006.

Senior Parachute Wings, Pathfinder Wings, Jungle Expert, 2 Army Achivement Medals, numerous other awards, ribbons.
