Clair Gantz, age 92, of Bellville, died early Wednesday morning at Country Meadows following an extended illness. Mr. Gantz was born December 2, 1911 in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania. He was a former self-employed carpenter. Mr. Gantz was a Ballroom dance instructor and loved the outdoors.
Surviving are a son, Melvin Gantz of Bellville; two stepdaughters, Alayne Quicksall of Mansfield and Alinda Owens of North Carolina; a grandson, Melvin Gantz Jr. of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; a granddaughter, Karissa Fowler of Danville, Virginia; two step-granddaughters, Melonie Moore of North Carolina and Christie Terrell of Arkansas; and eight great-grandchildren, Naomi & Amy Gantz, Devon & Andrew Fowler. He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Alma Jane Emrick Gantz.
Graveside services officiated by Rev. Bruce Copley, will be held Saturday, July 10 at 11:00 a.m. in Nankin Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Clair Gantz never worked in Ontario School Systems, but his wife (Mrs. Gantz) taught more years than she should have worked. Unable to find her obituary but she is mentioned in this obituary.
