About Greg Gentille, 77, of Pickerington, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 17, 1947, in Mansfield, Ohio, Greg grew up in Crestline, Ohio and was the son of Joseph and Joan Gentille.

Greg was a proud graduate of Ontario High School’s Class of 1965 and later earned his degree from The Ohio State University in 1997—a milestone he accomplished with perseverance and pride. He spent more than 40 years with The Kroger Company, beginning his career as a bagger and working his way through numerous roles in the corporate office. His dedication, work ethic, and leadership left a lasting mark on colleagues and friends throughout his decades of service. He retired in 2010 as the Drug/GM Merchandiser for Kroger’s Columbus Division.

Greg is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Judy Gentille; daughters Traci (John) Glavocich and Jaclyn (Cheyenne) Myers; and his cherished grandchildren Nicole Glavocich, Alexis Glavocich, Clayton Myers, and Mason Myers; siblings Randy Gentille, Barb (Chip) Green, and Laura (David) Wakeman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Joan Gentille; his daughter, Wendy Gentille; siblings Sandi Wentz, Peg Owens, and Brad Gentille; sister-in-law Patricia Wilson; brothers-in-law Joe Owens, Ray Mileti, and Brad Wentz; and nieces Theresa Moore and Landree Rennpage.

Greg lived a life anchored in devotion—to his family, his work, and the passions that brought him joy. He was an avid Ohio State football fan, a lover of Bob Dylan’s music, a patient gardener, and a golfer who valued both the game and the companionship it brought. Above all, he cherished time with his children and grandchildren, who were the center of his world.

Those who knew Greg will remember him as kind, strong, intelligent, patient, driven, caring, loving, and deeply protective. His steady presence, warm heart, and quiet resilience touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.
