| About | Robert D. “Bobby” Bowman, 57, of Cleveland, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Born July 19, 1967, in Mansfield to Larry and Shirley (Mitchell) Bowman, Bobby was a 1985 graduate of Ontario High School. His early years were filled with cherished memories at Lake Erie, especially Nickel Plate Beach, where summers at the Bowman family cottage brought joy, laughter, and lasting friendships. When not at the lake, Bobby spent countless warm days on Grandpa Bowman’s farm, often alongside his cousins—learning life’s simple lessons and earning a little spending money helping with small projects. A proud outdoorsman, Bobby enjoyed local hunting. He was a true 80’s rock enthusiast, with a special place in his heart for glam hair bands like Mötley Crüe. He attended many concerts over the years, and his passion for music remained a constant throughout his life. In his younger days, Bobby took great pride in his red 1970s Pontiac Thunderbird—a symbol of his style and independence. But when life called him into a hardworking career in construction, the sports car gave way to a dependable Chevy pickup. Bobby worked for many years as a general craftsman, building a career on experience, strong hands, and an even stronger work ethic. Bobby had an extensive Coca-Cola memorabilia collection, a testament to his eye for nostalgia and appreciation for classic Americana. He loved video games, especially classic arcade games. But above all, he will be remembered as a loving father, a proud parent who cherished every moment with his daughter, Nicole. Some of their most treasured memories were made together at Cedar Point, sharing laughter and thrills in the summer sun. His sense of humor, quick wit, and bright smile lit up every room he entered. He is survived by his daughter Nicole (Donnie) Martin; grandchildren Piper and Axel Martin; parents Larry & Shirley Bowman; brother Shane (Heather) Bowman; nephew and niece Luke and Lily Bowman; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. |
