| About | Rebecca Wilford passed away Thursday May 22, 2025 at OhioHealth Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio with family by her side. Becky was born August 18, 1953 in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of Richard Thrush and Bernadine Vrabel Thrush Baker. A graduate of Ontario High School, Becky retired from Lumbermens Mutual Insurance. She is survived by her husband Joseph Wilford (married July 1, 1989) and her daughter and best friend Denise Dickerson of Columbus, Ohio. In 2004 Becky and Joe moved to Mohican Township, Jeromesville, Ohio, where she fully embraced a quiet country life of home decorating and furnishing, gardening, planting hostas and trees (redbuds and pawpaws), and watching over all wild creatures great and small, especially hummingbirds. Becky also enjoyed collecting antiques at auctions with Joe, painting with acrylic poured paints, celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas, and caring for and loving her cats and English shepherds. Becky was preceded by her parents, her in-laws Richard and Janis Wilford, a special cousin Paul Heskett, friend Mindy Crawford, and her best furred friends Boon, Ellie, Grady, and Ruby. In addition to Joe and Denise, Becky is survived by sister-in-law Marie (Ken) Beddow of Lexington, brothers-in-law John (Toni) Wilford and Benjamin (Brenda) Wilford of Ashland, nieces Katelyn (Josh) Parson of Pickerington and Anna Wilford of Ashland, nephews Nick (Jessica) Beddow of West Carrolton, A.J. Beddow of Lexington, Anthony (Ashley) Wilford of Ashland, John Ross (Taylor) Wilford of Manteo, NC, Levi (Klancy) Wilford of Wanchese, NC, Lucas (Shelby) Kuhlman of New Washington, Kurtis Wilford and Jared Wilford of Ashland, many grand-nephews and grand-nieces, many cousins, and a brother Ronald (Sondra) Thrush of Brunswick. A kind and caring woman of faith and prayer, Becky would say to all of us: "Live today, and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of His hand." |
