About	Sondra “Sandy” Lee Benick, age 83, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, at her home. She was born June 19, 1941, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Emma (Musille) and Kenneth Purkey. She graduated from Ontario High School with the Class of 1959. Sondra married David Benick on April 10, 1960, and they were fortunate to have traveled extensively to many countries including Switzerland, Paris, France, Ireland, Australia, Italy, England, Scotland, and Wales as well as many locations in the USA. They were blessed to have spent 64 years of a wonderful marriage. She spent many years collecting and dealing in antiques and spent several years in real estate. Sondra loved flowers and nature, and she and Dave spent many hours driving throughout the countryside as she battled dementia. Sondra is survived by her husband, David Benick; son, Brian Benick; daughter, Raina (David) Rengert; two granddaughters, Ashley Rengert, Paige (Alec) Heldreth; a great-granddaughter, Presley Heldreth; and brother-in-law, Matthew Benick Jr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Purkey.
