About	Christopher L. Wetzel, 48, of Cape Coral, Florida, died Saturday, July 30, 2005 at St. Lukes Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida after a yearlong illness. Born September 9, 1956 in Shelby, he was the son of Franklin 'Jerry' and Jane Wetzel. He was a life long resident of the Mansfield area before moving to Florida in 2000. Mr. Wetzel graduated from Ontario High School in 1974. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Wetzel retired from General Motors as a tool and die maker. An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed basketball, playing on high school leagues and several other leagues. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Doraine Gray Wetzel; one son, Tyler Wetzel of Cape Coral; parents, Franklin 'Jerry' and Jane Wetzel of Ontario; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Steven and Sherrie of Mesa Arizona, Keven and Marie of Mansfield, and Mark and Roberta of Minneapolis, Minnesota; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kimberly and Norval Blackwell of Lexington, and Anne Marie and Douglas Bigelow of Crestline; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; mother-in-law, Marie Gray of Mansfield; brother-in-law, Franklin Gray of Crestline; and sister-in law and her husband, Anna and Don Fraser of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Frank Gray.
