About James David "Dave" Williams, age 81, of Lima passed away at his residence on September 25, 2022. He was born on October 20, 1940 to the late Alfred Theodore and Florence Berdene (Obermiller) Williams. He was the brother of Larry Williams of Mansfield, Kenny Williams of Warner Robbins, GA, and the late Ted Williams of Mansfield. He was formerly married to the late Shirley Ahlers Williams. In 1991 he married Cheryl Robinson, who preceded him in death in 2017. He is survived by his daughter Sarah (Dave Anspach) Anspach of Waynesville, his step-daughter Dia (Jeremy Rex) Fleming-Rex of Canal Winchester, and his step-son Colby Fleming of Nashville. He is also survived by his grandchildren Abby Anspach, Adam Anspach, Calvin Rex, and Robyn Rex. Dave graduated from Ontario High School and was a member of the varsity basketball team. He later graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.A. in Education. Dave taught at Dublin High School where he coached basketball and was instrumental in the construction of a greenhouse to use in their science education program. He taught science for many years at Perry Junior High School in Lima and was responsible for the construction of a greenhouse for use in the science education program there. Dave was the owner of the Williams Greenhouse wholesale business and grew the Poinsettias that adorned several church holiday displays
