Retired High School Principal. I started my teaching career at Cement City Rural Agricultural Schools (now part of Columbia Central). I graduated from Adrian College in 1963 with a BA. I taught at Cement City for three years and then went to the Jackson Michigan Area to teach at East Jackson High School in the Fall of 1963. I taught Social Studies courses for five years. In the sixth year I was named the Athletic Director and taught five classes. During that year I received my Masters degree from Eastern Michigan University,in Educational Leadership which is a concentration on school Administration. In the Spring of 1972 I was named the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at East Jackson High School. In the Fall of 1983 I was named Principal and I earned a Eds. Education Specialists just short of a Doctorate in Education. I retired in December of 1994.
In 1962 I Married my high school sweetheart Carol Chatfield class of 60'. We have two children, Shelly who has four children three boys,and a girl and Cory who has three children two boys and a girl.
