Douglas D. Skaggs
Class of 1960
Air Force, 5 Years
Most of Doug's first hitch after basic was served in Greece. Doug's last job was working as a mechanic on the flight line @ Shaw AFB Sumter South Carolina. However, in 1963 while working in Biloxi MS he was exposed to a massive radiation leak. This showed up in the fall of '65 as Acute leukemia. He died at Andrews AFB hospital, Feb 22, 1966. He left a widow, and 8 mo old baby girl.

Fred went in during the Korean Conflict. He passed away in 1996. He was a tough football player and the best brother int he world.

Active duty x30 years. Served as Army physician, to include combat tours in Iraq & Afghanistan. Retired in 2014 in Killeen, Texas with wife Nancy Cary Novakoski (OHC Class of 1973).
