| About Me | “Living Above Average” is more than a phrase it is a choice. This generation of youth is under the impression that in order to be great, you would need to be born with some special strand of DNA or skill. However being great is a choice; it is a matter of will NOT skill. It is undeniable that one of the greatest players in the NBA, Michael Jordan has skill, or does he? Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team because of his lack of skill, however his WILL is what separated him from the other skilled players who made that team. His tenacious work ethic and fearless drive is what makes him an all-star in our books. At some point lines were crossed and it became frowned upon to be great, and cool to be mediocre. Countless times I have gone into a classroom and asked, “Who is the smartest person in the classroom?” Instead of raised hands everyone points fingers. This is a problem! The youth who choose to be a part of the living above average movement will make the pact to be nothing less than great in all areas; be it academically, athletically, morally, and healthily. Most importantly, they will take pride in their future, and live their lives as a direct reflection of it. Join Us in our movement!
