Scott Roberts
Class of 1991
Nomination for Hall of Fame. Earned two varsity letters for football and two varsity letters for baseball.
In football, led the team in interceptions both his junior and senior seasons. Which ranked him second in interceptions on Oak Hills All-Time List (10). In his senior he also was second on team in tackles and was voted 2nd team All-League, despite missing three games due to a knee injury. He also received two team awards in football during the awards banquet. His junior year he was awarded 'Most Improved Player' and his senior year he was awarded 'Best Defensive Back'.
His biggest awards came in baseball.
In baseball, Scott led the Highlanders to a 23-8 mark to win their 9th consecutive Metro County Conference title, his senior year. During this year, Scott placed himself in most of the single season offensive records including Runs, Hits, Batting Average and Stolen Bases. At the time he set the overall record for Stolen Bases by getting a perfect 40 out of 40 for the year. By his team that year, Scott was voted the 'Team MVP' and the 'Best Defensive Player' to go along w/ his offensive performances. But he also represented Oak Hills in the East\West game and earned both All League and All City awards. He also received the 'Player of the Year' award for the Metro County Conference, making him the first Oak Hills player to do so.
After high school, Scott played baseball at Ohio Dominican College, now known as Ohio Dominican University. While at ODC Scott played three seasons for coach Paul Page and received multiple awards for his performances. He received two All-Conference awards, one Honorable Mention All-District award, one All-District award and one Honorable All-Region award.
