| About Me | Well, I'm still standin! In 2006, I was diagnosed with Stage 2A breast and lymphatic cancer. I underwent several surgeries, aggressive chemotherapy and radiation therapy and I'm apparently just okey-dokey now. I currently am the Executive Director of People to People, Rockland's largest food pantry providing food and other assistance to nearly 700 families each month. Prior to that I was with the United Way for a year and a half, after having served as the Director of Communications and Fund Development for the Girl Scouts for ten years where I reigned as the "Cookie Queen" (not kidding, that was a real title!). I started my work in the non-profit arena in 1982 at the March of Dimes National Office where I was the National Communications Manager. I traveled around the country with the foundation's National Poster Children.
