About	per Obit Mrs. Rita M. Moniere, age 70 of Norwood, NY passed away at her residence in the village of Norwood while under the care of her loving family and Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley on May 7, 2024. Rita will be buried at Garfield Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service. Rita was born January 19, 1954 in Potsdam, NY to the late Allen Phillips and Jean Duegaw. She was a graduate of Norwood Norfolk Central School. She was married October 25, 2008 to Don Moniere. Rita was a secretary at Norwood Norfolk Central School for several years until her retirement. Surviving her are her son Joseph Rousaw, daughter Eleanor Moniere, sisters Robin Hoyt, Naomi Phillips and Joyce Garrow, 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Don Moniere, a son David Monroe Jr.,her brother Robert Phillips, a sister Vickie Phillips and her parents Allen and Jean Duegaw.
