Served in the elite Army Security Agency; an army intelligence agency which was attached to the National Security Agency. The primary mission was that of intelligence gathering through the use of electronic monitoring of radio, and other, transmissions. The ASA existed from 1945 to 1976 when it was incorporated into INSCOM.

Army basic training was at Fort Dix, NJ. Attended the ASATC&S in Mass. Assigned to TUSLOG Detachment 4, Sinop, Turkey for what was termed "hardship duty". Spied on the Soviets and others.

Re-assigned to Camp Walters, TX with the 303rd ASA Radio Research Battalion. Spied on (can't tell).

Was in Dallas on Nov 22, 1963 - maybe two hundred yards away from the shooting of President Kennedy.

Trained with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC. Then assigned to Joint Exercise Desert Strike along with 100,000 others. See Time article at:

I served with the Infantry Division while stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY for 1 1/2 years, Bad Kreuznach, Germany for 3 years, than Ft. Stewart, GA for my remaining service.
I had both of my children when I decided to dedicate my time to this wonderful country, so my husband, Glen Pressley, and my boys were blessed with seeing an entire different part of the world while we were in Germany including France, Austira, Switzerland, and Spain.
