Sigrid “ Sig” Manning Etter, 71 of Eldersburg, MD
Died Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Carroll Hospital Center
She was the spouse of Robert “Bob” J. Etter.
Mrs. Etter was born October 25, 1942 in Gallipolis, OH the daughter of the late George E. Manning and the late Norma Evelyn Hall (Hallgrimsson) Manning, She was especially proud of her Icelandic Heritage
Mrs. Etter had attended Montgomery Junior College and the University of MD. She was a graduate of Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, D.C. She was a Renowned Artist and Designer for various art related businesses, including Craft World in New Windsor. She authored more than a dozen craft books and coauthored a book of Diabetes. She was most proud of her time as a Stay at Home Mom.
Surviving in addition to her husband are Son Scott Van Cleve of Baltimore, Son and Daughter-in-law Sean and Bethann Van Cleve of Baltimore, Step-Sons and wives John and Tammy Etter of Manassas, VA, Bill and Laura Etter of Hampstead, MD . Grandchildren Freya Van Cleve, Jacob and Luke Etter, Sister Margaret and husband Ronald of New Bern, NC, Nephews Chris, Brian and Andy Preston of NC, Sister-in-law Joanne and husband Ronald Davidson of ND and numerous other family members.
