We started the Compass with our adviser Stephanie Miller. We won awards for our paper from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. Is the Compass still publishing? I left Baltimore and went to the University of Michigan in their Residential College. I went on to get a Masters in Public Health degree from the U of Michigan School of Public Health. I got my first job in Seattle at the U of Washington in the School of Public Health as a research associate in 1974 . I worked in Public Health policy in the Health Policy Analysis Program unitl 1980 when I left public health to attend law school at the University of Puget Sound. I was on the Law Review there where I was Source and Cite Check Editor. I have been practicing law for injured people since I graduated law school. I worked on cases involving personal injury and medical malpractice
