After graduating from Northwest in 1961 I spent four years in the U.S. Army. For the next twenty six years I spent time in the army reserve and the navy reserve retiring from the Navy in 1991. During that time I was able to obtain three degrees at three different colleges the last on in 1995 when I obtained an EDS from Georgia Southern in Statesboro, Georgia. I spent 35 years in the field of education as a teacher and retired as a high school principal from a public high school in Georgia. After retiring I spent 7 more years as the Headmaster of a Christian school in Savannah, Georgia. I have published six books and the seventh should be coming out some time early 2016. I have also published several magazine articles and currently work as a freelance writer for the Savannah Morning News.

I was thrilled to get the Northwest High School Distinguished Alumni Award for 2006.
