Class of 1968

Steve Free is an Internationally aknown award winnning singer/songwriter/recording artist whio has charted 16 songs on The National and International Charts including four # 1 songs . he has won numerous music Industry Awards including 8 ASCAP AWARDS , 2 KING EAGLE AWARDS , A PLATINUM RECORD . Nominations for GRAMMY AWARDS and AMERICANA MUSIC Awards and others. In 2008 he won The GOVERNOR'S AWARD as the #1 Artist in the state of Ohio and in 2009 recieved an award for hsi musical contributions to Appalachia from The Kentucky State Senate.
Many of his songs reflect his Native American and Appalachian heritage and are about The Southern Ohio, NE Kentucky Area. Some of his most well known somgs are SIEGE AT LUCASVILLE , about the 1993 Ohuio prison riot , EVERYBODY'S FRIEND , MY GUIDING LIGHT and the Christmas classic JUST A BABY BOY.
