Clare Malone was born to Mae Emma Jones Mask and the late Eddie Jones Sr. on April 18, 1954, Somerville, Tennessee.
On December 21, 1974, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Jessie E. Malone of Memphis, Tennessee, and to this union, two children were born.
She was preceded in death by her loving father, Eddie Jones Sr. and her sister Mary L. Clay.
Clay was a proud graduate of Northside High School, Class of 1972, and Shelby State Community College, where she received as Associate degree in Business Administration.  She was a cataloger for the Memphis Public Library for thirty-two years until her retirement.  She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Somerville, TN and later joined Cummings Street Baptist Church in Memphis, TN.
Clare leaves to cherish her most precious memories, her mother, Mae Emma Mask, her son, Marion (Phoebe) Malone; her daughter, Melishia (Mario) Jackson; seven grandchildren; Marion Malone, Jr., Marcus Malone, Jazmine Hunter, Makenzee Jackson, Gabriy'el Lucas, Mario Jackson, Jr. and Katlyn Malone; two great-grandchildren, Amberlynn and Marilynn Malone, two sisters, Emma Jean Phillips and Thelma (William) Hayslett, her brother, Eddie Jones, Jr.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joe (Elaine) Crawford, Donnell Malone, Jeanette Owens, Oretha Malone, Pamela Malone, Charles (Bernice) Malone, Robert Malone, John Malone, Marcus Malone, Clyde (Beverly) Malone, Stephanie (Robert) Mitchell, Houston (Teresa) Malone, Jacqueline (Glenn) Williams, and Derek Malone; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her close friends, Debra Levy and Gail McDaniel.
