Shirlene Denise Cosby, born April 10, 1951, died Friday, June 30, 2017. An honors graduate of Northside High School and Mount Holyoke College (South Hadley, MA), she was also an alumnus of the inaugural Leadership Memphis Class.
In deference to Shirlene's wishes, the family celebrated her life with a private ceremony, primarily for family members only, on Monday, July 3rd.
She leaves to mourn her passing her sister, E. Yvonne Cosby Marshall, a brother, Ulysses T. Cosby, her long-time companion, Ralph Carr, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made in her memory to "Friends of the Library."
