| About Me | I am originally from Salt Lake City, Utah and lived there until I was 6 years old. My family moved to Walnut Creek in 1968 and from the time we arrived here it always has felt like home. I loved Walnut Creek back in those days because it was still small, semi-rural, and a fun place to grow up. After high school, I went to DVC even though I had invitations from UC Davis and Cal State Hayward based upon my SAT scores. Go figure! I still didn't know what I wanted to do in life, but I was sure I wanted to be my own boss and not settle into some 9 to 5 pencil pushing job in some office building. Started several small businesses and eventually went into construction, because I needed a steady income. I fell in love with fixer-upper real estate and ventured into the arena quite green, but eager to make it fly. It was slow, but I saw steady success and incredible income that allowed me to dictate my own life. Unfortunately, the market changed abruptly and, like most investors, I didn't get out fast enough.
