Achieving the rank of WO-1, I served primarily in the MOS specialties of Broadcast and Print Journalist. I was assigned to the Far East Network (FEN), part of the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service (AFRTS) in Okinawa for nearly three years.
I was assigned to all three Marine Divisions and Marine Airwings at sometime during my 8 year-tour. I was temporarily assigned as an Aerial Surveillance Photographer in Lebanon, a Drill Instructor at the former Women's Recruit Training Command (WRTC)- Parris Island; and as both the Legal and Training Officer of the Marine Reserve Command in Columbia, SC.
I was medically retired in 1988 and have missed it TERRIBLY ever since! Ooh Rah!
