Charles F. Keenhold
Class of 1975

Chief Keenhold was born 23 June 1957, and hails from Moorestown, Pennsylvania. He is a 1975 graduate of Northampton High School.
The Chief entered the Air Force 18 July 1975. Upon completion of basic military and technical training, he was assigned as an Administrative Specialist, 425th Tactical Fighter Training Squadron, Williams AFB, Arizona. He cross trained in June 1979 and was reassigned to the 82nd Flying Training Wing, as NCOIC, Flight Management/Records Section. He was selected for special duty as a Professional Military Education (PME) Instructor in November 1981, and served as Williams AFB PME Center’s Director of Education. May 1986, he was reassigned to Mather AFB, California and assumed duties as NCOIC Aircrew Scheduling Support Division, 320th Bombardment Wing. He was again selected for special duty as a PME Instructor in December 1988, and served as Commandant, Mather AFB PME Center. September 1992, he was reassigned to Headquarters Air Force Military Personnel Center, Randolph AFB, Texas and served as Superintendent, Air Force Enlisted PME. Chief Keenhold was selected to serve as a First Sergeant in March 1994. June 1994, he was reassigned to Elmendorf AFB, Alaska and has served, as First Sergeant for the 517th Airlift Squadron, the 732nd Air Mobility Squadron, and currently is the First Sergeant for the 3rd Medical Group. Chief Keenhold also deployed to Gwang Ju AB, Republic of Korea, and served as the 3rd Air Expeditionary Group, Command Chief and First Sergeant from August 2004 through January 2005. Chief Keenhold concluded 30 years, and 13 days of honorable service in the United States Air Force, effective 1 August 2005. Chief (Retired) Keenhold currently serves as the Director of Operations for the Anchorage Downtown Partnership Ltd.
Chief Keenhold and his bride Sharon have been married for over 31 years. Sharon is employed by the Anchorage School District. They have two children, Jacob and Brittany.

Our Northampton High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Northampton High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
