About Me	Dr. Angela Butts was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is a 1996 graduate from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. Also, she was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserve. Currently, Dr. Butts is a Colonel in the U.S. Army, author, and leadership expert recognized as an influential force in shaping the Army’s future in business processes and technology. Dr. Butts has an active interest in empowering all people to follow their dreams with a newfound sense of hope and expectation of success. Dr. Butts holds a Master of Business Administration (Human Resource Management), Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and a Ph.D. in Organization and Management (Leadership) from Capella University. She has served in a variety of operational and strategic level assignments throughout her 24 years in the U.S. Army, and received numerous awards for her contributions to the U.S. Army. In 2018, Dr. Butts was selected in a series of 25 African American Women You Should Know About from the Foothills of the Ozarks. Also, she was a keynote speaker for the Virtual Girls Rock conference in 2020. Along with her volunteering activities, Dr. Butts is a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and an active Life Member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
