Grandson of a farmer and son of a butcher, Cue-Elijah Denicki was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. However, life had a different plan for him. Through his 4yrs of high school he found love in creative writing, which led him to write his high school play A Lover Trade. Living in NYC he learned the meaning of competition and survival. After being homeless for a year Denicki reverted back to his creative writing where he wrote poetry about everything he had went through leading him to write a Jazz/Blues song Living for the City which won the International Library of Poetry Editors Choice Award.
