About | Her smile and spirit were contagious to all who knew her. She was a best friend to many, a loving wife to Tom Curry, a devoted loving and protective parent to Jason and Melanie. She was a proud grandmother to Lauren, Jacob, Abby, Matthew, Ian, Megan, Patrick, and Emma. She was a pillar of strength, grace, and love to all. Keyo was born in California and grew up in Norman, Oklahoma. She moved to Texas in her early twenties. Keyo enjoyed gardening, painting, and sewing and anything that allowed her to indulge in her creative streak. She enjoyed celebrating the holidays and you could find her in costume each year for Halloween handing out candy! Guests to her home always enjoyed a warm welcome. Above all she cherished her family and friends the most. Her sense of humor and warmth was undeniable, and, in her presence, you would be sharing a laugh and a hug. After a long professional career, Keyo retired in 2016 and never looked back. She enjoyed diving into retirement with Tom and mastering fun new hobbies. She was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2016 and fought bravely, fiercely, and gracefully. In her memory we ask that you live for today, take the trips you have wanted and take nothing for granted. Keyo is survived by her husband, Tom Curry, her children, Jason Johson and Melanie Johnson, daughter-in-law Karen Johnson, Brian Curry, Mark Curry, her brother Dennis Stimson, sister-in-law Ann Martin, eight grandchildren and a host of friends and extended family. |
