Served in the U.S. Army from February 1971 to December 1973. Basic Training at Ft. Jackson South Carolina, AIT at Ft. Belvoir, VA (L512T) on the power pack for a MUST unit (Medical Unit Self Contained Transportable) which was the modern day field hospital for combat areas (kind of like the MASH TV show). I never made it to Vietnam with my brothers, I spent nine months at Fort Meade, MD (10 EVAC Hospital) training others on MUST, and then spent two years in Darmstadt Germany with the 7th EVAC Hospital.

Commander USAES Student Detachment and Advanced School at FT Belvoir and the to 1 Special Forces Group 69-72. Germany 72-75 in 12th Engineers and the to ROTC at Marshall U. Fort Monroe 78-80. 80th Training Division the Huntington Engineer District, the Chief of Engineers Office and the HQDA Engineer Division. Retired as an LTC in June 1994. Taught School in NN Va 8-83 the worked a s a facility Planner at HQ TRADOC FT Monroe from 1983-2011.

A couple of cruises to Guantanamo, Cuba, Virgin Islands, Jamaica. With 6 months left in the Navy I transferred to the USS Donner LSD-20 for another Caribbean cruise. Then discharged in August 1963 as a Radioman Second Class

Went to Viet Nam for year and a half came back was stationed at Ft Riley Big Red One got out for a few year but my old company commander kept after me to come back in, so after about ten years I did. He kept his word got me promoted to E6. I was in transportation, this time driving big trucks that haul tanks and stuff. Went to Desert Storm, hauled tanks to the front and dead ones back for repair. Was promoted to E7 in charge of about thirty guys and 15 HET's Heavy Equipment Transport, talk about paper work, "OMG" 26 years military service now retired on medical
