Nitro High Band Boosters
The NHS Band Boosters were successful in purchasing jackets and hats for the band in the fall of 2012 and now we need new pants. Used Band Instruments
The Nitro High School is trying to replace some of their instruments that are being kept together with wire and duct tape. We would like to ask for donations of any good condition instruments or monetary donations towards the purchase of some new or gently used ones. Donations may be sent to Richard Brooks, Nitro High School Band Director, 1300 Park Avenue, Nitro, WV. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. The band has increased to 60 members and we have finally been able to purchase new band jackets and hats, still working on pants. They have competed at several events this year and have won numerous awards. Thank you.

Nitro Band Car Wash/Hot Dog-BBQ Sale May 19,2012
Nitro High band continues to raise funds to purchase new uniforms. We will be having a car wash/hot dog-bbq sale at Peyton Law Firm in Nitro. Mr. Peyton has donated $500 towards uniforms and the use of his law firm property on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 10-2 for the kids to use. Stop by and help, plus we have some really good hot dogs and homemade bbq. Hot dog chili homemade as well.

Alumni Band Members
The Nitro Band is trying to purchase new uniforms and could use any help with this endeavor. Our band has grown in numbers in the last couple of years and we expect this to continue due to the leadership of Mr. Richard Brooks. The students are in need of uniforms and we trying to at the least get new jackets and hats, but this will cost about $350 per child. Any contributions would be a blessing. We will also be having a Hot Dog Sale at the Cross Lanes Krogers on March 17, 2012 to raise funds for uniforms. Nitro Band Uniform Drive
The Nitro Band is trying to raise funds to purchase new uniforms. Their current uniforms are 13 years old and in bad shape. The band has won numerous awards this year at the Kanawha Majorette Festival, Cabell Midland Band Festival, Ripley Band Festival, Marshall Tri State Band Festival, and Poca Band Festival. The students are dedicated to excellence and have shown it in their performances. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
