Falcon Wall of Fame Celebration for it inaugural class

Dear NW alumni leaders,
Hello to all of you! As a matter of information, the NW “Falcon Wall of Fame” has recently been instituted to honor the lifetime achievements of the alumni and staff of Niagara Wheatfield Central School District, along with the district’s community contributors. The NW “Falcon Wall of Fame” will be housed, under the sponsorship of the NWCSD Board of Education and the Athletic Hall of Fame and Falcon Wall of Fame Committees, in the front glass hallway of the Senior High School. There is an NW “Falcon Wall of Fame” Selection Committee, comprised of seven alumni and NWCSD community residents. The committee has and will chose recipients from nominations for the “Falcon” award. (For elaboration of the criteria for the award or to print out a nomination form, go to the NWCSD website’s homepage, click on “Community,” go to the drop down menu and click on “Wall of Fame.” Then click on “NW Falcon Wall of Fame Criteria” or “NW Falcon Wall of Fame Application.”) We hope that you will share this information with the NW alumni of your various classes. We are looking forward to receiving many applications of worthy nominees.
From the eighteen nominations received, those chosen to receive the 2017 “Falcon” Awards in its inaugural year are: Charles Clark, NW’s first superintendent, Ruth Foster, NW’s first elementary education superintendent, Joseph Rotella, teacher, NW’s first athletic director, football and basketball coach, Charles Pelcin, NWHS teacher and principal, Fred Barone, NWHS teacher and administrator, Ronald Corsaro, NW teacher and world-renowned musician, William Ross, teacher, coach, principal, athletic director, public servant, Rev. Wayne Jagow, alumnus, Lutheran minister, sheriff, Niagara County Clerk, Dr. Tim Carlisle, alumnus, scholar, university professor, and Admiral Carl Lahti, alumnus, Naval Academy graduate, submariner.
A ceremony and luncheon for these recipients will be held on:

The “Falcon Wall of Fame” will add significantly to the NWCSD traditions of education, arts, athletics and community service. The “Falcon Wall of Fame” will honor those of NW who have contributed, in a significant way, to the world in which we live.
