Marine Corps, 4 Years
Although my personality never quite fit the Marine mentality I was proud to serve and made it out with an honorable discharge. It was the end of the Vietnam war and being a Marine wasn't popular. But, I never ws much of one to care what anyone thought. I moved around a bit and eventually wound up in California where I installed the computers at the El Toro base. The base is no longer there but I have a lot of memories that are.

Enlisted April 76 as an Army medic/surgical assistant. Stationed at Fitzsimmons AMC Denver CO then TriplerAMC Honolulu HI. I enjoyed my stint in the US military and was proud to serve. Of course residing in Kaneohe, HI was a 'hazardous' duty assignment. Truly, it was an educational and rewarding experience. Honorable discharge as an E5 in 1980.
