Class of 1961
Army, 20+ Years
Enlisted active duty USAF service 1963-66, followed by a short stint of AF Reserve, Army Reserve and Army Nat. Guard service, then returned to active duty service in Army for many years until retirement. Was a Medical Service Corps Officer for most of my army years, retiring as a Lt Col in Dec 1993 at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX.

Served 2 years at Cholera Research Hospital in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh), 1965-67; instrumental in developing oral rehydration therapy, credited with saving 100 million lives. Redeployed to assist with Hurricanes Katrina/Rita. Completed service with rank of Navy Captain.

Peter Noel N Tocci

Navy, 4 Years
Served with the USN and the Marine Corp as a Hospital Corpman. Station in The Great lakes, Boston Naval Hospital, Camp Lejune Marine Corp Base, then my last station was the USS Newport New # 148 Heavy Cruiser in the theater of the Viet Nam War. Wounded then, decorated by the Navy. My final rank was HM2. I lost many friends and fellow service members before being discharged from the Navy from injuries that I sustain while being in the war there. Returned to college and practice Anesthesia. Now retired and been married for 46 years found my love at 25yrs old and been living the good life here in North Carolina ever since.
