Save our Brave
The school board had taken our "Brave" off the building outside by auditorium, saying it's racist. There is nothing racist about have a "Brave" for our mascot. There is a petition on Don Roth's FB or Mike Hawkins to sign to keep our "Brave" on the wall. Please help! Thank you! Geraldine Winters
NHS softball players 68+
Hi everyone,
You can spread this message as you wish, if you wish.
I have joined a Tuesday senior softball league of players, age 68 and older. It's fun. We play doubleheaders between 930A-130P Tuesday's, at various fields in Morris and Essex counties. Many of us can hit, but cant run that well and many of our throwing arms are in great decline. It's high arc (6-12 ft)... and friendly folks. I'll add a link for you to check out various options. League fee is $35...plus another $35 for a jersey and hat, both fees if you join a team. I figured we have a nice potential pool of NHS players herein.
There will be an exhibition game at Woodburne Park, Wantage NJ on Wantage Day ~ Noon Sept 28.
But if if you're interested prior to that, seeing what its about and if it might be a fit for your rejuvenating youth... then please send me a note waltdrag@gmail.com or call the contacts listed on the link below.
If you write me I'll answer any questions and/or get you to a practice. I've played games mostly in West Orange and Livingston. There's a Saturday open practice in Livingston-Harrison School, at 930A for players and guests-future players.
