About Matthew Lee BROADUS Born: August 18, 1967 Died: December 28, 2003 Our beloved Matt was taken from us too soon, due to a tragic airplane crash in Peoria, Arizona. Matt was the much-loved son of Bruce and Debbie Broadus of Bellevue, Wash., brother to Kelly Brower of Lynnwood, Wash, and David Broadus of Edmonds, Wash, and father to Skylar Lee Broadus of Bellevue, Wash. He graduated from Newport High School in Bellevue in 1985. He then attended Washington State University where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Matt was a member of Delta Upsilon fraternity while attending the university, where he met many of his closest, lifelong friends. Matt was best known for his joy for life and his quick wit. He lit up every room he entered with his incandescent smile. His loyalty and compassion enhanced all his relationships. Matt's natural athletic ability enabled him to excel at any sport. He loved playing softball for Michael's Toyota's team, and golfing at Glendale Golf and Country Club, where he was a member. He was also a talented guitar player, and played anything from folk to rock. Matt's greatest source of happiness was his four-year-old daughter, Skylar Lee. The feeling was mutual and Skylar was definitely "daddy's girl". We will dearly miss our son, brother, father and friend. It is tragic to lose one so truly loved by so many. Memorial Services will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm at St. Madelaine Sophie Catholic Church, 4400 130th Pl SE, Bellevue, WA. Phone 425 747 6770. Remembrances may be made to Matt's favorite charity, Youth Eastside Services, in Bellevue.
