Retired as and Aviation Maintenance Technician FFA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic, Quality Control and Supply Logistics and aquired over 1400 flight hours on the HH-65 Helicopter during search and rescue mission along the West Coast Air Stations.

Jeff Yelkovich Class of 1982
Army, 20+ Years Command Sergeant Major(Retired) Jeffrey M. Yelkovich is a native of New Castle, PA. He enlisted in the Army in 1986 as a 76Y, Unit Supply Specialist, and attended Basic and AIT Training at Fort Jackson, SC. His first assignment was with the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT) “Screaming Eagles” at Fort Campbell KY. He was assigned to the 2/31st Field Artillery Battalion as a 76Y. After two years the unit deactivated and sent to Fort Bragg, NC. He was then reassigned to 1/320th Field Artillery as the Unit Supply Specialist. After one year with the unit, he reenlisted for the 25th Infantry Division (L) “Tropic Lighting”, Schofield Barracks, HI, where he was assigned to the 725th Maintenance Battalion as a Unit Supply Sergeant. In 1992 the unit was re-designated the 725th Main Support Battalion (MSB), where he was the Unit Supply Sergeant for the Maintenance Company. In 1993, CSM(R) Yelkovich served as the Battalion Supply Sergeant for the 3/327th Infantry Battalion, Fort Campbell, KY. After two years he was selected by the Commanding General to serve as an Inspector General (Complaints NCO) for the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT) from 1995-1997. CSM(R) Yelkovich then assessed and was selected for duty with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) “Night Stalkers”, at Fort Campbell, KY from 1997-2001. During his tenure with the “Night Stalkers”, he served as a Logistical Operations NCO with the 2/160th SOAR on numerous National Command Authority missions. In 1998 he assumed duties as the Support Operations NCO for 4/160th SOAR and finally served as the First Sergeant for Headquarters 4/160th SOAR. CSM(R) Yelkovich was reassigned in 2001 to the Second Infantry Division “Second To None” Camp Casey, Korea with the 302nd Forward Support Battalion as the First Sergeant for HHC. In 2002, he was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT), Fort Campbell, KY as the HQ/A 801st MSB First Sergeant. He deployed with the unit in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) 01-03. Upon return from OIF he was the Division Support Command Rear Detachment Sergeant Major until his departure for the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy in December 2003. His last assignment was with the 204th Support Battalion, 2d Brigade, 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) as the Battalion Command Sergeant Major. He deployed with the unit in support of OIF 07-05 and returned in November 2006. He retired from the military as a Command Sergeant Major in May 2007. Military Education includes: PLDC, BNCOC, ANCOC, First Sergeants Course, United States Army Sergeants Major Academy and Command Sergeants Major Course. He is also a graduate of the following schools and courses, Air Assault School, Pathfinder School, Jungle Warfare Course (Panama), Inspector’s General Course, Air Force Air Load Planner, Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina and Joint Firepower Course, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada Awards and Decorations include: Bronze Star Medal, MSM (3OLC), ARCOM Medal (1OLC), AAM (8th OLC), GCM (5th Award), AFEM (w. Bronze Device), NCO Professional Development Ribbon (numerical 4), GWOT, OSR (2), JMUA, Air Assault Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Drivers Badge and Combat Action Badge. Civilian education: He has a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Logistics from Touro University International CSM Yelkovich(R) is married to the former Alicia Lytle of Neshannock. They have three children Jeffrey (CPA Atlanta), Jessica (AirForce, Stantioned in Alaska) and Adam (High School).
