Swartz and the late Richard Mickel, she was born November 11, 1970 in Newburgh, NY. Survivors include her adopted son, Mark Swartz of Newburgh; two brothers, Frank Simpson of Newburgh, and Tommy Smith of Kingston; four sisters: Charlene Lacks Catherine Lewis, Alvin Mickel and Hope Miller, all of Newburgh; paternal grandmother, Alice Mickel of Newburgh, and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held from 12 noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, at the Brutus W. Hodge Funeral Home, 13 Chambers St., Newburgh, NY 12550. Followed by private cremation.
